The Second Sri Lankan Monkeypox Patient Identified

The serial interval and incubation period for symptom and rash onset for  monkeypox virus infection during the current US outbreakThe second Sri Lankan Monkeypox patient has been identified today (09) at the Katunayake International Airport through a PCR Test according to the Health officials .

The male patient who had arrived in  from Dubai ,United Arab Emirates  had been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) In Angoda for treatment it has been reported .The disease history ,the whereabouts and the details of the patient's close contacts are being investigated it has been revealed .

The first Sri Lankan Monkeypox Patient who is 20 year old  returned from Dubai has been identified through a  PCR Test conducted by Colombo Medical Research Institute (MRI)in Borella last Friday
