Cabinet has today (11) approved a Proposal suggesting Sri Lanka to be degraded as a low income country from a medium income country .The Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardana has announced this during the Cabinet Press briefing held in Colombo this morning .
However the Government has this evening announced that Sri Lanka will remain as a Medium income Country further .
