More than 55,000 persons residing in 11 districts are being displaced due to the floods ,strong winds and storms occurred as a result of heavy showers prevailing in the country since few days according to the Disaster Management Center .
Accordingly 55,435 persons residing in 11 districts are being displaced due to floods by this evening the Center has stated.Majority of these displaced persons are residents of Gampaha District it has been reported .Due to the adverse weather water levels of Kelaniya and Gin rivers have overflown in few areas it has been reported .,
