Seven Sri Lankan Medical Students attached to the Kupyansk Medical College in Ukraine's Kharkiv region captured by Russian Soldiers in last March were rescued by Ukrainian forces after liberating the region, the Russian Media had announced .
According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky seven citizens of Sri Lanka who are attached to the Kupyansk Medical College had been rescued during the operation .They had been captured by Russian soldiers and subsequently kept in a basement .
