After promoting Organic fertilizer for local crops in view of creating a green agriculture in the country for months Government has decided to give permission to private sector to import Chemical fertilizer such as Agro Chemicals and weedicides with effect from today (24).
However the Government's policy to promoting green agriculture in the country will not be rolled back Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage has stated today .
Due to the Government's decision to promote Organic Fertilizer for Agriculture Industry without allowing to import Chemical fertilizers to the country ,Farmers didn't r receive any fertilizer for farming since months .
