The transport activities in Nuwara Eliya -Hatton main road had been halted today(08) due to the fall of a huge Soil mound on to the main road from Blackpool area in Nuwara Eliya area it has been reported ,
The soil mound had fallen on to t he main road as a result of heavy showers prevailing in the areaat present and the officials of Road Development Authority had managed to remove a part of the soil mound and opened only one lane for traffic .Huge vehicle queues had seen on the Nuwara Eliya-Hatton main road due to the soil mound collapse ,
