Hundred Percent Cash Margin Imposed On Non Essential And Non Emergency Goods Has Been Removed

 The 100 percent Cash margin rule imposed on non essential and non emergency imports has been removed with immediate effect according to the Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivaad Cabral .  

This decision had been taken after considering the severe hardships faced by the importers and consumers as a result of the significant increases in prices of such commodities  he has stated during the presenting of the "Six month Road Map for ensuring macro economic and financial system stability  " held at Central Bank  this mooring (01)
