Sixteen persons had died ,Three went missing and five persons injured So far due to the adverse weather affected to 10 districts in the country according to the Disaster Management Center
.So far 270,912 persons throughout the island are being affected due to the adverse weather conditions the Center had stated .
Kaduwela city near the exit point of Southern Expressway and many low lying areas in kolonnawA had been submerged since last Saturday due to the overflowing of Kelani River it has been reported .Kaduwela city is the most affected area due to the floods and many areas on the roadside had submerged Upto the roof level according to reports .Kaduwela town is under three feets of water by last evening (06) as a result of the overflowing of Kelani River according to reports .
Due to this situation transport activities at Hanwella -Colombo low level road have been halted from Kaduwela town
