The third reading of the amended Draft bill of the Colombo Port City Special Economic commission has been passed in Parliament yesterday (20) with a majority of 89 votes .
The controversial draft bill which was presented to the parliament by the government had passed with 148 MP "s voted in favor and 59 had voted against it .19 MP's were absent at the time of the voting
Supreme Court has earlier informed the speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane that 25 clauses of the Bill are against the Constitution and need to amend those .Also the court has informed that the Bill should be passed with a specials majority in Parliament and also need a referendum to get public approval ,
