Attorney General Dappula De Livera
had today (18)instructed the Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Chandana Wikramaratne to question former president Maithripala Sirisena and former Prime Minister Ranil Wikaramasinghe over the Central Bank bond scam.
Attorney General Livera had also instructed the acting IGP Wikramaratne to question former secretary to the prime minister R.Paskaralingam and other senior Central bank officer over the Bond scam issue.
However Attorney General cannot order Inspector General of Police to act on something as he only can advise the government on legal matrers .
