The six persons arrested at a house in
Jumma Masjid road in Maligawatte over arranging a mass gathering in front of a house to distribute money where deaths of three females occurred due to a huge stampade ,had been remanded until 04 th of June by the Colombo Chief Magistrate last evening (21).
The Businessman who had arranged the Money distribution are among the six suspects arrested and remanded over the incident by the Maligawatte police .
A police team had arrived in the scene where the stampade occurred ladt evening according to a telephone call received to the Police emergancy line regsrding the mass gathering .
This Money distribution event is an annually organized event it has been revealed .
