A curfew has been imposed in 11 Police divisions of Puttalam District ,07 Police divisions of Chilaw and Kochchikade police division of Negambo with effect from 4.30 p.m this evening (18) until further notice in view of avoiding the spread of Corona Virus according to Police Department.
Accordingly curfew has been imposed in 11 Police divisions of Puttalam District including Puttalam, Anamaduwa and Kalpitiya Police divisions ,areas in Chilaw Police Division imcluding Chilaw, Dankotuwa and Marawila and Kochchikade Police division in Negambo .
Hundreds of thousands of persons arrived from Italy recently are being located at Puttalam District avoiding quarantine process according to Police.
