Consumer Affairs Authority has fixed a
maximum retail price for a Kilo Gramme of imported Big Anions supplied to the local market as Rs.190 with effect from tomorrow (23) according to the authority .
At the moment a Kilo Gramme of Big Anions or Bombay Anions are being sold at local market for Rs.330-360 per a Kilo Gramme it has been revealed .
However government has imported 700,000 Kilo Grammes of Big Anions from India recently through an importer in.view of preventing the escalating the price of Big Anions further according to reports.
Although this stock has been imported at a cost of Rs.112 per a Kilo Gramme the importer has told the state owned Lanka Sathosa limited that he can supply the imported stock for Rs.340 per a Kilo. Gramme .
