Retired Colombo High Court Judge
Padmini Ranawake had today (20)appeared before the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD)at Dematagoda ,Colombo and given a Three and half hour statement regarding the allegations levelled against her over involving in telephone conversations with remanded UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake .
Retired Judge Ranawake had appeared before the CCD accordance to a request made by them .CCD had requested Retired Judge Ranawake to give a statement after Attorney General Dappula De Livera had ordered the CCD Director to record statements from all judges involved in telephone conversations with MP Ramanayake.
However as the government Analyst still not yet been confirmed whether the voices in released audio clips citculated in social media are true or not ,Attorney General and CCD are continuously aressting and remanding persons said to be involved in controversial telephone conversations with MP Ramanayake according to sources ..
CCD had already recorded a statement from EMBILIPITIYA High Court Judge Gihin Pilapitiya yesterday over the telephone conversations with MP Ramanayake and due to be recorded a statement from interdicted Baddegama Magistrate Dammika Hemapala soon .
