National Police Commission had given approval for the transfers of 15 higher Police Officers including 06 Deputy Inspector General's Of Police (DIG) to facilitate holding preliminary Inquiries against them to see whether they were responsible for not preventing Easter Sunday Attacks. These transfers scheduled to be implemented as service requirements according to Police.
Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP0 has made these transfers in order to conduct investigations against them as ordered by Attorney General Dappula De Livera based on the recommendations made by vijitha Malalgoda Commission appointed by the president to conduct investigations over Easter Sunday Attacks .
Attorney General has earlier ordered the Acting IGP to conduct inquiries against 09 Higher police officers including DIG's ,SP.s ASP's and OIC's on criminal charges and take a disciplinary action against them over not preventing Easter Sunday attacks.
Meanwhile Acting IGP had alos instructed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to conduct an inquiries against 09 higher Police officers regarding Easter Sunday attacks.
