Swiss Embassy Visa Officer Who Had Been Abducted By An Unidenrified Group Had Given A Statement To CID This Evening

The visa officer attached to the
Switzerland Embassay in Colombo Garnia Bannister Francis who claimed that she was abducted by an unidentified group of persons on 25 th of November  had today (08) given a two and half  hour statement to Criminal Investigations Department  (CID )in Colombo Fort regarding her abduction.

The Visa officer had arrived at CID accompanying  several Swiss Embassy officials and two lawyers around 4.30 p.m. this evening had left the CID around 7.00 p.m after giving the statement  it has been reported.

She claimed atound  five unidentified persons arrived in from a White Motor car  had abducted her near the Saint Bridget Gonvent in Cinnamon Gardens Police division on 25 th of November  and sexually harrassed her before questioning how she has issued visas for the former IP attsched to CID Nishantha De silva and his family to fled away to Switzerlamd .

CID has directed the Visa officer for a medical examination at Colombo Chief Judicial Medical  Officer (JMO) to check her health status before questioning her .Swiss embassy had informed CID last friday (06)that the Vusa officer will arrive to gove a ststement today .

Colombo Chief Magistrate had earlier ordered the Swiiss embassy to produce the Female Visa Officer before CID For a statememt on or before 09 th of December  regarding the abduction case.

Court has also banned  the Female Swiss embassy officer from goimg abroad untill tommorrow(09).
