SLPP (Pohottuwa) Party Spent More For Online Election Campaign -EU Observers

European Union election observers
have found online spending of Srianka Podu Jana Peramuna (SLPP-Pohottuwa)Election Campaign for the Presidential Election was higher then  any other elecction campaign .

SLPP Had published ads in Google and published around 500 adverisements in  Facebook some by third parties.

There were reports that some hatred and mud slinging posts published against opposite candidstes during online csmpaign.One such incident was the mud slinging campaign launched against National Democratic Front"s presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa saying he has not passed  his O/level exam .

How ever due to the lack of financial regulations available  regarding  advertising in Election campaign the exact expenditure has not yer been revealed the EU Observers had stated
