Sri Lanka Freedom.Party Leaders Decided To Support Podu Jana Peramuna Candidate Gotabaya Rajapakshe -President Decided To Be Neutral

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP )created
by late Prime Minister S.W.R.D BandaranIke had decided to support the Presidential Candidate of Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna "(SLPP) Gotabaya Rajapkshe according to the SLFP Member former Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva .

Addressing a media beiefing held at SLFP Headquarters in Colombo last morning (09)Former Minister De Silva has stressed that the  decision to support  Gotabaya Rajapakshe has been taken with the blessings of the Party Chairman President Maithripala Sirisena .

Meanwhile President Sirisena who had supported Sti Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna ,it's  candidate Gotabaya Rajapakshe and his brother's family indirectly  during past few months to solve their legal cases has decided to be neutral during presidential election it has been announced .

President has appointed Former  SLFP secretary Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa as the acting chairman of SLFP To carry out duties on his behalf .

Meanwhile SLFP Organizer Duminda Dissanayake and the Party's media spokesman MP weerakumara Dissanayake had been participated the Podu Jana Peramuna Candidate Gotabaya Rajspakshe's innauguration  election Rally  held in Anuradhapura Yesterday to give their support .Candidate Gotabaya Rajapakshe had later visited Duminda Dissanayaka 's house in Anuradhapura yesterday to thank him for the support he has given for Podu Jana Peramuna s Election Rally held yesterday in Anuradhapura .

Former President and SLFP Chairman Chandrika Bandaranaika Kumarathunge has criticized the SLFP Leaders for betraying party policies by supporting Podu Jana peramuna candidate .Former president Kumarathunge has sent a letter to SLFP secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara in this regard .
