Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP
) Chandana Wikramaratna has forwarded two complaints received by him against Forner Defense Secreatery Gotabaya Rajapakshe over obraining a Sri Lankan passport illegally without mentioning his dual citizenship status.
The Acting IGP Wikramaratna had earlier forwarded the two complaints to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for investigations and later withdrawn it and forwarded to Colombo Crimes Division for the needful it has been reported .
The two complaints argued that former Defense Secretary Rajapakshe obtained the Sri Lsnkan passport from Immigration and Emigration Department which stated he is a Sri Lankan citizen although he is a US Citizen at that time. He had visited Singapore for medical treatment recently through this illegal.passport it has been stated .
