Former DIG In Charge Of Terrorism Investigations Division Revealed His Attempt To Arrest Extremist Zahran Had Been Prevented

Former Deputy Inspector General Of Police In charge of Terrorism Investigations Division  (TID) Nalaka Silva has today (04)revealed if he was not arrested over false charges last year (2018) he was scheduled to arrest the National Thowheeth Jamaath Organization leader Mohommad Zahran Hashim who was the chief suspect of Easter Sunday bombings .

He has revealed this by giving an evidence  before the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to probe on Easter Sunday attacks .He had obtained a court warrant  to arrest Mohommad Zahran in 2018 .

Former DIG Who had arrived before the  committee from a Wheel chair due to an illness has stated that he had planned to arrest Mohommad Zahran Hashim last year as he knew Zahran will someday become a troublemaker to  the country.

If his plan had been implemented the Easter Sunday bombings could have been avoided or minimised Former DIG Nalaka Silva had stressed .

Former DIG Nalaka Silva had been arrested and remanded over a VIP Assasination attempt which is still not being proved .
