Cabinet has today (25)approved a
government circular regarding the official cloths should be worn by Employees in State institutions.
Accordingly Females In State institutions can wear Indian and Kandyan Sarees as well as any other decent Cloth.Earlier Ministry of Public Administration has issued a circular saying Females in State institutions should wear Indian and Kandyan sarees .However due to the Opposotion of several sections in the society Ministry has amended the circular.The amended circular has been submitted to the Cabinet by Minister of Public Administration Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
