A Wild Elephant around 22 Years old
has died due to an electrocution after colliding with a powerful electricity line fixed to protect a Banana cultivation at Punchi Dambe area in Sellakataragama today (15).
The deceased Elephant had faced this incident when attempting to enter the Banana cultivation in search of food it has been revealed .
Lunugamwehera Wild Life officers are conducting an investigations over the incident.
