Two Suspects Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Arrested And Remanded Over Central Bank Bond Scam Had Been Released On Bail

The owner of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius and the Chief Executive Officer
of the Limited Kasun Palisena who had been remanded over the Central Bank Bond Scam on 04th of February 2018 have been released today (01) on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne. 

Accordingly the two suspects had been released on a personal bails of Rs.1 million each and four surety bails of Rs.2 million each .The Colombo Fort Magistrate has advised the two of the  four sureties  sign for bail applications behalf of the suspects should be their relatives.

The passports of the suspects had been taken under court custody and foreign travel ban has been imposed over them.

Colombo Fort Magistrate has also ordered the two suspects to be present before  Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on every Sunday between 9 a.m to 12 noon .

The two Central Bank Bond Scam Suspects ,Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena had been released on bail after  considering the fact in their bail applications stating  their wives and children  are sick and the main suspect of the Central Bank Bond Scam Arjun Mahendran has not yet been arrested according to reports.

The uncertainity of the time period that the inquiry regarding the Central Bank Bond Scam due to end has also affected the decision of Colombo Fort Magistrate on releasing the two suspects on bail.
