Retired former Army Colonel Alfred Wijethunge was arrested in Galle by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) last evening (28) in connection with the investigations on Avant Garde floating armory carry out by the CID.The suspect had been remanded until 09th of April by the Galle Magistrate Court today (29) after being produced before the Magistrate.
The suspected former Army Colonel was in charge of the Avant Garde Floating Armory during the previous government.
