UNP And JVP To Go To Supreme Court Next Week Against Dissolvement of Parliament

(UNP)of the Good governance government and Leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) have decided to filed court cases at Supreme Court next week  against the steps taken by the president Maithripala Sirisena to dissolve  the Parliament and calling an election in next January by violating the Constitution.

Accordingly UNP will  filed a case against Anti Democratic and Anti Constitutional move of the President  taken to dissolve Parliament last night Good governance Government Minister Mangala Samaraweera has said during a press briefing held today (10)in Colombo.

"President has no power  to dissolve the Parliament until the government completes four and half years according to the 19 th ammendment of the Constitution .Present government cane to power in 2015 and due to this the dissolvement of Parliament is clearly illegal .We are not afraid of the elections and will face elections any time " he has stressed.

President has dissolved the Parliament through a power not given to him under the Constitution Mangala Samaraweera has stressed.

Meanwhile Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna is also due to take legal action against dissolving Parliament within next week it has been revealed .

When questioned on preparing for the Election JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dassanayake has said  first they will try to prevent holding  this illegal election and then going for the next step .
