The water level of Victoria Reservoir is on the rise as a result of the heavy showers prevailing in Central Hills at present .
Meanwhile six sluice gates of Nachchaduwa Reservoir in Anuradhapura have also opened as a result of the rising water level of the Reservoir. People living in low land areas near these reservoirs are being advised to be vigilant over possible floods.
