President Maithripala Sirisena has
informed the speaker Karu Jayasuriya that he will consider the speaker's request to convene Parliament soon and inform his stand on it shortly.
President has told this during a meeting held with Speaker Jayasuriya at Presidential Secretariet this evening (31).
Speaker had met the President Sirisen a this evening to request him to convene the parliament soon as per the requests made party leaders during yesterday's party leaders meeting.
During the meeting which lasted little more than one hour President has listned to the facts revealed by the speaker regarding convening the Parliament it has been reported.
