An Elephant At Kala WEWA National Wild Life Park Was Killed Due To An Assault By A Tusker At The Park

A huge Elephant at Kala Wewa National
Wild Life Park was killed due to an assault by  a Tusker at the same park last evening (16) according to sources.

The deceased Elephant who was around 40 years of age and a leader of a Herd of around 300  Elephants at the Park was killed by a Tusker through hitting by his Tusks it has been revealed.

The most emotional event had took place  afterwards. The Herd of Elephants which the deceased Elephant had given his leadership had arrived at the scene and paid their last respects to their leader by touching his body with their trunks according to reports.

However soon after the Herd of Elephants left the scene after paying their last respect, The killer Tusker who had killed the Elephant arrived again and attacked the body of the deceased Elephant with  his Tusks.

Elephants paying their last respects by touching the deceased Elephant's body is   a rare scene according to Wild Life officers.
