Six Students Were Injured And Several Houses Damaged In Southern Province Due To The Strong Winds

Six students have been injured with
one critically and several houses were damaged as well as power lines as a result of the fallen trees ,After strong winds blowing across several areas in Southern Province including Galle and Hambanthota today(08)according to the Disaster Management Center.

Six students were injured and hospitalized after the roof of a Private Tution Class in Beliatta had collapsed over them due to a falling of a tree to the roof it has been reported.

Several Incidents related to the  House and Roof  damages have been reported in several areas in the Southern Province including Akuressa according to the Center.

Meanwhile as the strong winds still prevailing in Southern Province,The Meteorology Department has instructed the Navy and fisheries community to be vigilant over the situation in sea areas.
