More Than 50 acres of land belongs to the "Wadinahelayaya" Mountain Reserve at Malewnayaya Road in Wellawaya has been destroyed due to a huge fire erupted there since this morning (22) according to the reports.The fire erupted in the Mountain Reserve which is a home to a large number of Sri Lankan owned species including rare Sri Lankan Wild Animals and Birds is being spreading rapidly at present it has been reported.Due to this situation thousands of Sri Lankan Rare birds and wild animals have been affected .
Due to the strong winds and dry weather in the area the fire is being spreading rapidly it has been revealed.
Still no one has taken a step to prevent the fire from spreading further.
