The prices of Fuel which the government owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has earlier stated will not be increased soon due to be increased with effect from midnight tonight (10) according to the Minister Of Health and Cabinet Spokesman Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.While Addressing a Cabinet Press Briefing held this morning (10) at the Government Information Department in Narahenpita ,Dr.Senaratne has stated that the Prices of Kerosene Oil,Diesel and Petrol will be increased with effect from midnight tonight.
Accordingly the Price of a Liter of Kerosene Oil will be increased by Rs.57 from Rs.44 to Rs.101.The Price of a Liter of Super Diesel will be increased by Rs.9 from Rs.110 to Rs.119 ,Price of a Liter of Auto Diesel to be increased by Rs.14 from Rs.95 to Rs.109 ,Price of a liter of Octane Petrol-92 to be increased by Rs.20 from Rs.117 to Rs.137 and Price of a liter of Octane Petrol -95 to be increased by Rs.20 from Rs 128 to Rs.148.
Although the liter of Kerosene Oil to be increased by Rs.57 ,Samurdhi Beneficiaries and Fishermen will be received it for Rs.44 per liter it has been announced.
Recently Consumer affairs authority has given approval to increase Gas prices as well although the prices of Gas in the world market has been dropped.
