A 40 year old Female Motorcyclist was killed due to a Motorcycle-Lamp Post-Van collision at Gannoruwa-Peradeniya yesterday(05).A high speed Van had collided with a lamp post at Gannoruwa and as a result the Lamp Post broken and hit on the Motorcycle arrived in back side of the Van and critically injured the Female Motorcyclist it has been revealed. The injured had succumbed to her injuries after admission to Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.
Police had arrested the Van driver regarding the incident and he was remanded until 09th of April by the Kandy Magistrate after producing before the Magistrate.
