The National Building Research Organization(NBRO)
had issued landslide warnings to five districts in the island due to the heavy showers prevailing in .
Accordingly landslide warnings have been issued to the Ratnapura,Nuwara Eliya,Matale,Kandy and Kegalle Districts .
Public in these districts should be vigilant over the landslide signs it has been announced.
Meanwhile two sluice gates of Canyon river had opened as a result of the heavy showers and people in Ginigathhena area has been advised to be in vigilant over the situation.
