A 43 year old Civil Defense Force officer was killed after colliding with a Cab vehicle while engaged in searching vehicles in Ambalanthota area on Colombo-Wellawaya road .The critically injured Officer had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Ambalanthota Hospital it has been reported.The deceased has been identified as a resident of Ambalanthota area.
Ambalanthota Police have arrested the Cab driver regarding the accident.
