Two persons have been arrested while transporting a
stock of 'Burutha' timber from weeraketiya to colombo illegally by a Lorry at Udawalawe area.
The Lorry was also taken into custody by the special police task force personal along with wild life officers in Embilipitiya who had carried out the raid.
The value of the stock of timber taken into custody is more than Rs.5 million.The suspects and the lorry had been handed over to Embilipitiya police for future course of action.
