No Need To Be Panic Over The Dengue Situation Here-Entomology Officers

No need to be panic over the current Dengue Epidemic
spreading in the country as it is normal that the spreading of Dengue here during the monsoons according  to the Entomology Officers attached to the Government Health Service.

There is no evidence on  the Dengue spreading in most parts of the country at present is fatal and uncontrollable than in previous years as stated by some medical professionals to foreign media the Officers have stressed.

The principal of the Entomology training school Najith Sumanasena  has stated that the main reason behind the higher number of Dengue deaths is none other than delay of getting treatment to the disease and the Government medical staff knows very well on how to treat  the dengue patients effectively.

As the Dengue is a man made disease one cannot blame only the authorities on the spreading of Dengue in the country as public too responsible on the situation he has stressed.

The disease is the same one that spread last year and people should destroy Dengue Mosquito Lavae breeding places in their premises as well as dispose garbage properly to avoid spreading Dengue   he has stated.

Meanwhile as some of the Medical professionals and social scientists provided wrong information regarding the Dengue situation here to the foreign media ,it might affect the Sri Lanka's tourism industry  badly health sources have stated.

One such professional has told an American media institute that the Dengue currently spreading  in the country is fatal than in previous years and there is no proof to confirm that statement the sources added.

The most unfortunate incident is a well known national paper in India had few days ago published a feature story on current Dengue Epidemic in Sri Lanka and questioned why the sri lankan authorities not able to control the disease although have the best health indicators in the region. However the thing is  they do not realize that there is no connection between the other health indicators and Dengue and they forgotten  that India is a disease hit country and even diseases like plague and malaria which rarely seen here ,spreading rapidly in most parts of India.
