A Heavy Traffic Reported In And Around Colombo Fort Due To A Anti SAITM Protest March

A heavy traffic is being reported in and around  Colombo Fort and Maradana at present due to the closure of entry road to the Galle Face from Lotus Roundabout as a result of a protest march launched by Inter University Students Federation(IUSF).

Police have closed down the Lotus Roundabout short while ago as the protest march launched by IUSF by demanding to abolish the Malabe Private Medical Collage(SAITM) reached in front of the Colombo Fort Railway station.The protest march has begun at the University of Aesthetic Studies in Colombo this noon .

Police have taken a court order demanding that  the protest march should be conducted without causing any inconvenience to the  public and motorists.
