A 41 year old person has drowned in Kandalama Reservoir (Wewa) last evening (08) after bathing in an insecure area despite the warnings issued by life saving officers. After being informed by the family members of the victim ,Life saving officials had recovered the body of the drowned person from deep inside the water and sent the victim to Dambulle Hospital for treatment after given the first aid.However the drowned has been declared as dead before admission to the hospital .
Although the life saving officials have marked three areas in Kandalama Reservoir as safe for bathing and display red flags in those areas,the deceased had removed those flags and began bathing in an insecure area it has been revealed.
