India's National Carrier "Air India" is due to launch direct flights from Colombo to Varanasi(Baranasa),India from this August according to the visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Sigh Modi.Through this Sri Lankan Devotees will be able to travel Varanasi from Colombo directly the Indian Premier has stated while addressing the International Vesak Day Celebrations held in BMICH ,Cololmbo this morning(12).
Varanasi is rated as the holiest of the seven sacred cities of India on Hinduism and Jainism .
