Ten houses in Thihagoda,Matara (Southern Province)
had been damaged and all the electrical appliances belonging to these houses were destroyed due to a lightning strucked last night (12).
The Metereology Department has warned public to be on alert on thunder and lightning these days as most psrts of the country are experiencing heavy showers at present .
