Colombo Fort Magistrate Court has today(03) rejected the
bail application filed by the 
imprisoned Joint Opposition MP and the
leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa citing his
daughter's poor health condition.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne has rejected the bail application of MP this morning on the grounds that the health condition of the MP Weerawansha's daughter not mentioned in his bail application although stated that she is receiving treatment in Lady Ridgway Children's Hospital in Colombo..
MP Weerawanshe who is currently in Colombo National Hospital was remanded until today over misusing of state owned vehicles during the previous regime.His lawyers are due to file another bail application today it has been reported.
The imprisoned MP had been arrested after recorded a statement by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division(FCID) over misusing of state owned vehicles on 10th of January.
