Airport Customs officers had arrested a Sri Lanka and n while attempting
to smuggle a stock of valuable Sri Lankan Gems to Bangkok in Thailand at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport .
The suspect who is a 26 year old resident of Colombo had attempted to smuggle the stock of gems by concealing them in his luggage it has been revealed .
The value of the stock of Gems taken into custody in possession of the suspected estimated as RS.4.8 million .
