The authorities have issued fresh Landslide Warnings to three districts today(10) namely Kandy,Ratnapura and Kegalle Districts due to the bad weather prevailing in those areas at the moment.Accordingly the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has today issued landslide warnings to Gangaihalakorale Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas of Kandy District,Kiriella and Kuruwita in Ratnapura District and several areas of Kegalle District as these areas are being identified as potential risk areas for landslides.
People in these areas have been advised to be vigilant on possible rock falls,landslides ,subsidence and cut slopes by the NBRO if the rain continues further..
