Health Ministry Introduced Two Hot Lines For Public To Make Complaints On Pharmacies And Institutions Not Selling 48 Price Reduced Drugs For Given Prices

Image result for drugsThe Ministry of Health,Nutrition and  Indigenous Medicine has today(04) introduced two hotline numbers for public to make complaints on pharmacies and institutions not selling the 48 price reduced  essential Drugs for the reduced prices.

Accordingly public can make complaints to the hotline numbers  0113071073 and 0113092269 if a pharmacy or an institution selling the price reduced Drugs for higher prices not to the reduced prices the Ministry has stated.

The Ministry Of Health has reduced the prices of 48 widely used essential drugs prescribed mainly for non communicable diseases through a special gazette notification issued on 21 st of October under the National Drug Policy.

The Public Health Inspectors and Food and Drug Inspectors are advised to check the pharmacies and Drug Selling Institutions throughout the island to find out whether these institutes given the benefit of price reduction of Drugs to the public according to the Ministry.
