The much awaited Right To Information Act is due to be implemented with effect from Sri Lanka's Independence Day, 04th of February 2017 according to the Deputy Minister of Media and Parliamentary Affairs Karunaratne Paranvithana .
The Right To Information Bill was passed in Parliament with amendments in July last year.
The Act will allow public to get information regarding the Public Authorities .Information Officers will be provided a special training on how to provide information Deputy Minister has further stated.
