Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 14 local fishermen who were engaged in illegal fishing by using banned fishing nets in Eastern Seas .Along with the fishermen Navy had taken into custody two banned nets,two diving fins and two dinghi boats the sources have stated.
The arrested fishermen along with fishing equipment were handed over to the fisheries officials in Trincomalee for future course if action.
