Hambanthota United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) MP Namal Rajapakshe has today(10) filed a court case against the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division(FCID) which investigating large scale financial frauds occurred during the previous government at Colombo District Court .MP Rajapakshe has filed the court case at the Colombo District Court through a lawyer demanding Rs.100 million compensation for defaming him it has been reported.
MP Namal Rajapakshe who is the eldest son of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe has appeared before the FCID Several times regarding various allegations and he was arrested by the FCID Officials on last July after recorded a statement from him on obtaining funds illegally from a private Indian real estate company"Krish" Group to develop rugby in Sri Lanka.
