A four member European Parliamentary delegation is due to visit Sri Lanka from 31st of October to 03rd of November it has been announced.The purpose of this Visit is to view the progress Sri Lanka made on national reconciliation process,The groundwork laid for a successful GSP+ Application and ways to empower Sri Lankan women economically and politically the European Union has stated by issuing a statement in this regard.
The four member European Parliamentary Delegation due to visit Sri Lanka comprising with Jean Lambert-UK (Chairperson),Thomas Mann-Germany ,Sajjad Karim-UK and Ulrike Muller-Germany.
During the visit the European Parliamentary delegation is due to hold talks with government ,parliamentary and civil organization representatives and the delegation is also due to visit Batticaloa and Trincomalee Districts to view European Union funded projects there.
