President Maithripala Sirisena had criticized  the activities of three institutions including the Bribery Commission last week following a controversy arisen after the former Director General of the Bribery Commission who had resigned last Monday  informed the former president Mahinda Rajapakshe regarding a decision taken by the Commission to inspect alleged bank accounts stated as there at banks in Dubai belonging  to former president's family members  it has been revealed during the Cabinet Briefing hrld today (19)  at Government Information Department in Narahenpita.

There's a suspicion that the details of the confidential letter signed by President Sirisena recently allowing Bribery Commission to inspect the Dubai based bank accounts belonging to Rajapakshe Family may have leaked to former President through the resigned Director General of Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wikramasinghe the co cabinet spokesman Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated at the briefing.

Soon after the President signed that letter and handed over to former Bribery Commission head former president Rajapakshe phoned President Sirisena and asked him regarding the letter he has stated.
