An Assistant Superintendent of Police(ASP) and a Constable were injured and admitted to Puttalam(In North Western Province) Hospital following the double cab vehicle there were traveling in veered off the road and crashed into a Margosa Tree in the palugassegama area on Puttalam-Anuradhapura Main Road on wee hours today(09)The two police officers were traveling from Mulathivu to Colombo when they met with the accident.Police have suspected the Police Constable who was driving the vehicle may fallen to sleep at the time of the accident.
Both Police Officers are in stable condition according to sources.
